Arcade Cab 4

Description

Even my dad is having a ball.
He is a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, so the Megaplay Arcade Version of Sonic was right up his alley ^^

I got it a few weeks ago and it was awesome.
It's a generic 3 button cab, built in 1988, all the parts are original. Those suckers were in a lot of coffee houses back in the day. IMO a great deal. It has a 3000 in 1 PCB and I have more than enough games at my disposal. Nothing beats playing arcade games on a real cab.

mind you I said "it WAS awesome".
I had some minor issues with screen discoloration, but that was easy to fix.

But now something really bad has happened. The line transformator that powers the monitor started to shoot sparks... I'm currently looking for either a new chassis, or someone who knows how to repair this sucker.

I'm not complaining, though. I can wait for it to work again ^^

Cool to see that you've got the cabinet, but that sucks that the transformer blew out. Is it possible that the power outlet isn't rated for the appliance (game cabinet)? Here, I don't think you can't just plug a washing machine or heavy appliance like a Xerox copier into any old wall outlet; you need one that's rated for the equipment. Not sure if doing so would burn out the appliance or overload the house's breakers, but it's something to consider.

Hope you can get it fixed soon!
